We’re looking for an INTERNATIONAL FINANCE COORDINATOR

Are you a seasoned finance professional passionate about making a difference? Ready to dive into a hands-on role overseeing the finance function across 5 countries in South-East Asia?

THE​ ROLE

As an International Finance Coordinator, based in​​ our HQ in Phnom Penh, you will be the lead for:

  • a team of Finance​ Technical Coordinators and building capacity of all finance teams
  • the organization’s financial accountability and transparency
  • writing coherent and winning financial proposals
  • all aspects of financial reporting
  • developing new and enhancing existing tools for financial management

In this role, you’ll work closely with our management team consisting of International Coordinators and Country Programs Directors, as well as with diverse donors and partner NGO’s globally with many opportunities to witness FI’s projects in Cambodia and the region.

Does this describe you?

  • A dynamic team leader who is passionate about working for the protection and

education of marginalized children, youth and their families

  • A qualified accountant with experience of working in an international context, of​ an alliance / group of NGOs, in management accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, group financial reporting
  • Familiar and/ or capable in IFRS and nationally applicable FRS
  • Competent with a wide portfolio of donors, including the UN, EU, institutions, foundations, corporates, governments, and individuals
  • Able to bridge the spectrum between the field social workers to the top donors, understanding and maintaining a balance between practical service provision to keeping the donors happy
  • An effective communicator, negotiator, coordinator, team player with analytical and strategic skills
  • You are an excellent English speaker with high/native-level writing proficiency

These would be examples of some of your daily responsibilities. Would you enjoy them?

  •   Work with our HQ Finance team of specialists and regional finance teams to implement new accounting standards for Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Indonesia and Myanmar
  • Prepare and present analyses of our Futures Employment project financial results to stay updated on its financial and funding status, including cash flow forecasting, and provide advice accordingly
  • Facilitate the completion of a yearly global financial report for key stakeholders such as Board of Directors, externals, including governments and the wider public
  • Prepare and deliver a Budget Management Training of Trainers for both financial and non-financial managers alike across the region
  • Collaborate with HR team to design and implement a payroll software system, to remain current, logical, practical, feasible, and best practice
  • Assess a new potential partner in Morocco to ensure they would be compatible with the Partnerships Program for Protection of Children (3PC) network
  • Work with ChildSafe Experience, our social business team, to design a standard monthly financial reporting system adapted to a business
  • Work with our fundraising team and Directors in Laos and Thailand to prepare a budget for a proposal to expand our ChildSafe Agents network
  • and others.
