Position description

The Program Analyst in this role supports the development of international armaments cooperation agreements for a United States Air Force (USAF) Under Secretary Affairs Office. 

More specific responsibilities include:

 Develops, coordinates and manages bilateral and multinational armaments cooperation agreements for research and development

 Lead for the development, staffing and negotiation process of Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs) between the USAF and foreign industry

 Country Desk Officer for international cooperative R&D activities

 Assists in the development of reciprocal personnel exchanges between military and civilian members of the USAF and foreign partner nations

 Attends meetings on behalf of the SAF/IA with foreign government personnel regarding cooperative efforts ensuring the implementation of appropriate export control guidance

 Provides program assessments, budget reviews and recommendations to leadership for overall continuous USAF capability and foreign partner relationship enhancement.

Qualifications

At least 5 years analyst experience

 Practical experience with international cooperative Research and Development programs

 Written and oral communications skills appropriate for the position, including the ability to speak with authority on both technical and U.S. DOD policy issues

 Tolerant of different cultures and able to work closely with allies

 Strong problem solving and analytical skills

 Ability to work closely within a team environment

 Bachelors degree in International Relations or related required
