Position description

International Studies Abroad (ISA) seeks a dynamic, part-time intern to assist the service-learning department within the areas of administration, admissions and marketing. The intern will receive a greater understanding of how international service-learning programs are developed, managed and marketed. This is an ideal position for students studying:

International Relations, Global Studies, Foreign Language or International Business.

Internship Period

April – July 2017

Job Responsibilities:

• Work with Outreach Manager to:

• Reply to prospective/interested student inquiries

• Complete online directory project

• Assist Program Manager with all phases of admissions process including:

            • Calling pending students regarding submission of application materials

• Writing and editing admissions forms and orientation materials

• Work with Placement Coordinator to:

• Update website content

• Update information in the Placement Database

• Depending on Spanish language skill, conduct language interviews

• Assist Academic Coordinator with:

• Creating and updating deadlines for syllabus

• Generating certificates of completion

• Reviewing log of hours submissions on Schoology

• Other responsibilities as needed


Required Qualifications:

• At least college Junior or Senior standing

• Superior writing and editing skills

• Prior experience studying, volunteering, interning abroad

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduate student or recent college graduate

• Intermediate to advanced level of Spanish or other foreign language
