Established in 2010, the Bureau for Policy Planning & Learning (PPL) is responsible for leading USAID’s policy planning efforts, shaping overall strategic and program planning, ensuring the Agency’s evolution as a learning and evaluation organization, and overseeing donor engagement while guiding USAID as the premier development agency.
The Program Assistant will support PPL as a member of the Administrative Management Support Team by providing administrative and logistical support to the Bureau. S/he will be responsible for a range of tasks in the ever growing and wide portfolio of management duties. The work requires teamwork, self-motivation, the exercise of discretion and strong customer service skills to ensure that support services are well maintained.
The ideal candidate is organized, pays close attention to details and is highly flexible and willing to work under conditions of ongoing change. S/he places a premium on building positive relationships with his or her team and with key stakeholders both in and outside of the Bureau.
