Position description

The Department of Politics invites applications for a part-time Visiting Lecturer position in comparative politics or international relations during the 2017-2018 academic year. Candidates should be prepared to teach the introductory course in international relations and comparative politics as well as upper-division courses in international political economy and development. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to teaching and mentoring students.

Teaching load is 5 classes over the course of the year. Although the College would prefer the courses all be taught by one instructor, candidates interested in teaching part of the listed classes below may apply.  Cornell College operates under a one course at a time model and will need the following courses taught:

September 4-27, 2017  (International Political Economy)

October 2-25, 2017 (Political Economy of Developing Countries)

February 12-March 7, 2018 (International Politics)

March 19-April 11, 2018  (Comparative Politics)

April 16-May 9, 2018 (regional topics course)

Qualifications: PhD or ABD preferred, Master's Degree required.
