Position description

As a Protective Intelligence Specialist with Matador Security Company, Inc., you will monitor and track intelligence, media, and other sources for events of significance to the executive clients, property, and information. Information collected will be used to produce real-time notifications, safety and security recommendations, risk assessments and will be compiled into formal intelligence reports.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Evaluate, integrate, and analyze all-source data in the preparation and presentation of clear, concise, in-depth intelligence products
  • Utilize a variety of situational awareness tools to quickly and accurately advise on active and potential threats
  • Provide rapid assessments of emerging security situations as needed
  • Conduct limited scope investigations related to specific threats
  • Respond in a timely manner to requests for intelligence information; correlates intelligence and contextual data
  • Review and utilize diagnostic tools and technology to develop complex data compilations
  • Identify and solve complex problems and carry out responsibilities with little or no supervision

What You Will Need:


Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in global threat, risk analysis, and intelligence in a federal, state, local government, multi-national corporation, or organization 
  • 3+ years of experience performing research using the internet, databases, and other open sources

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel– sorting data, creating tables and creating graphs & Word-document creation, formatting and editing etc.)

  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule (weekends, evenings, & holidays)

  • Ability to travel up to 10%

  • Valid driver’s license 

  • Not eligible for Visa Sponsorship

  • High school diploma 

What Will Put You Ahead?


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience in global threat, risk analysis, and intelligence in a federal, state, local government, multi-national corporation, or organization 
  • 5+ years of prior work experience in law enforcement and/or executive protection
  • Experience with Analyst’s Notebook and/or other analytical/case management/investigative tools 
  • Experience and knowledge of Executive Protection procedures and techniques, developed during the conduct of protective operations missions 
  • Bachelor's degree in international relations, political science, regional studies, business and intelligence/security studies
