Position description

Overview

As an integral part of the Human Resources team, the Recruitment Coordinator will focus on the New York and Washington fall, spring, and summer internship programs, Franklin Williams internship program, campus ambassador program, and recruitment. 

The major responsibilities of this position will include (but are not limited to):

  • Support the full life cycle talent acquisition process for internships, the Franklin Williams internship program, and a variety of positions which includes: drafting, updating and posting position announcements, partnering with hiring managers, identifying recruitment sources, screening and interviewing candidates and referrals, conducting reference checks, extending offers, and following up with candidates
  • Conceptualize and conduct professional development events for the interns
  • Conduct intern supervisor training once a year, and coach new supervisors through intern recruitment and management
  • Maintain all recruitment marketing materials for both full-time and internship positions
  • Work with CFR’s Education department on executing CFR’s Campus Ambassador Program
  • Partner with the director and recruitment team on diversity initiatives and other priorities as needed, including attending career fairs and working on various recruitment related projects
  • Provide support for a wide array of training seminars and staff events, such as brown bag lunches, CFR’s junior staff professional development program, employee activities, health and wellness program events, and holiday events
  • Periodically support Reception Services, including greeting and announcing visitors, responding to guest inquiries, and answering calls

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years HR experience in a high profile organization, with proven experience in proactive social media and traditional recruitment
  • Degree in related field, with high academic credentials
  • Knowledge of employment law
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with outstanding editing skills and strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional organizational skills, along with strong follow-through skills
  • Must be flexible, results oriented, and a team player
  • Ability to work flexible and periodic long hours
  • Interest in American foreign policy strongly preferred
