Position description

This position provides administrative support for cooperative development program management including helping to prepare scopes of work, budgets, contracts, due diligence and reporting. This position will also provide administrative support and liaison for the field staff.


Program Management Support 

  •  Monitor and track contract deliverables, milestones and administrative requirements. Maintain program files and ensure all files are current and include required back-up documentation as needed for the donor. 
  • Assemble and produce quarterly reports for internal and USAID reporting.
  • Provide program support including but not limited to: assisting with field office program administration, implementation, editing/formatting program documents in accordance with donor branding guidelines; translating as necessary; and preparing and monitoring consultant contracts.
  •  Work with the communications team and program management to promote the program internally and externally, including updating program websites and drafting text for communication materials. 
  •  Respond to priority items requiring immediate resolution and coordinate responses required, consulting with or advising management as appropriate.
  • Provide other administrative support tasks such as travel logistics, home office visits, trainings, workshops, new staff and consultant orientation, documentation preparation and other logistical needs. 
  •  Liaise with Overseas Cooperative Development Council (OCDC) members on CDP issues through collaborative working groups. 
  •  Assist in responding to OCDC research agenda and provide appropriate level of World Council involvement in such research
  •  As a part of the program implementation team, make recommendations for improving administrative systems, procedures and processes to increase efficiency and quality.

General DC Administrative Support

  •  Provide administrative support to supervisor such as handling inquiries, managing correspondence, arranging meeting logistics, filing and ordering supplies. 
  •  Assist in tracking program work plans and budgets and track achievement of performance goals as established by WOCCU’s annual scorecard.
  • Perform other duties requested by supervisor, such as greeting and coordinating visitors on premise or attending and reporting back on meetings.


Education and Experience: 

Bachelor’s degree in international affairs, economics, finance or related area of study; Master’s Degree preferred. 2-3 years of experience working in international development, including experience in supporting USAID programs. Qualifications preferred: Experience working in an administrative or program coordination position for an international development firm. Familiarity with economic growth programs, including micro-finance and credit unions. Experience in a multi-cultural setting or living and/or working in a developing country. 

Computer Skills: Superior skills in Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook. 

Travel: Domestic and International travel up to 35 days per year.

Language Skills:  Fluency in English required, Spanish preferred. Excellent writing and editing skills, including the ability to communicate concepts and ideas effectively and proficient grammar and punctuation.
