Position description

WorldTeach, a non-profit organization founded through Harvard University, is currently accepting applications for passionate individuals to serve as volunteer teachers in our semester program in Lima, Peru in partnership with Innova Schools. Applications will be accepted until November 15th, 2017, and participants will depart mid-January 2018 for six months. Teaching experience is helpful but not required and the program is open to international students. Participants are full-time teachers of English in the Innova Schools network. As Peru’s educational system continues to struggle with access to quality education, particularly for its disadvantaged populations, Innova and other private schools have set forth a plan to close educational gaps. Innova leads the way, leveraging technology with blended learning, solo learning, and teacher resource support. With the blended learning model you will not only learn to enhance your students' abilities; but you will also grow professionally by experiencing a new way of educating.

"The most important thing I learned during my WorldTeach experience is that I can step out of my comfort zone and into an entirely new experience and come out having accomplished more than I ever expected. I learned that having an open mind, a sense of adventure, and persistence will allow me to make the most of every experience and opportunity in life." WorldTeach volunteer
