We are seeking an influential, analytical and committed researcher who is keen to play a leading role in European climate and environmental policy making and happy to be challenged in a fast-paced environment. The right candidate will have excellent analytical and report writing skills, be an experienced and effective communicator able to speak with authority on EU and international environmental policy issues, and a dedicated team player and motivator. A PhD in environmental or ecological economics (or demonstrable equivalent experience) and an understanding of EU policy and institutions are essential.
While this is currently designed as full-time post, we will consider applications of candidates who would like to work part-time.
Remuneration: On appointment, the gross annual salary will depend on qualifications and experience, and may range between €57,000 to €68,000. The contract will be on a permanent basis (under Belgian law, a ‘contrat indéterminé’). The contract will be complemented by contributions to a pension scheme as well as contribution to public transport costs.
