Position description

You are part of a global team which oversees the development, governance, training and communications for S&P Global’s corporate policies and code of ethics for all of divisions.

The Impact: 

The intern will support the Corporate Policy Functions efforts to develop, amend, and communicate corporate polices.  This will include researching and reviewing of policies, maintaining our policies and governance documents on our internal intranet, external sites and policy management systems In addition, the position will support the administration the Code of Ethics Affirmation process to new hire employees globally as well as the non-employee population. Furthermore, the intern will provide project support for the functions efforts to enhance attestation, inquiry, exemption and reporting capabilities for corporate policies.

Areas of work include:

  • Provide support for Corporate Policy Committee
  • Analyze Corporate Policies and make recommendations for updates/changes
  • Process development of Policy distribution and attestation to employees and contractors
  • Maintain our policy management systems and intranet portal
  • Research best practices in the areas of policy governance and ethics
  • Provide well thought out recommendations based on research
  • Assist in the development of Compliance communications and training


  • Conduct research, and analysis, on Corporate Policies
  • Complete final Intern Project Presentation
  • Assist on research, publications, presentations, and special projects


  • Permanent US work authorization is required
  • Ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree completed by spring 2020
  • Preferred majors in, political science/international affairs, or a similar field with exposure to quantitative analysis and forecasting preferred.
  • Experience in conducting and interpreting research data
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Excel.
  • Successful candidates will possess a strong entrepreneurial spirit, are highly self-directed and motivated, and work well under tight deadlines.
