In 2012, Helen Crossley provided a gift to establish the Crossley Center for Public Opinion Research and promote continued advancement of the field. The center honors the legacy of both Helen and her father, Archibald Crossley, public research pioneers. Floyd Ciruli is the Director of the Center.

Position Summary

This is a part-time, benefited Program Coordinator for the Crossley Center for Public Opinion Research in the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver. This position manages the administration of the Crossley Center, assist with memorandums, emails, and presentations. This position also prepares and coordinates events on and off campus and works with guest speakers and their needs. The Program Coordinator also manages the marketing communication efforts including social media, email marketing, website content development, and quarterly newsletters. 

Essential Functions

  • Manage administration of the Crossley Center for Public Opinion Research (CCPOR)
  • Assist with memorandums, emails, and presentation PowerPoints
  • Assist with class logistics and materials
  • Prepare and coordinate events on and off campus, conferences and other CCPOR sponsored events
  • Assist with guest speakers
  • Manage marketing communications efforts of the center, including social media, email marketing, and website content development, edit and publish quarterly newsletter
  • Create promotional publications and advertising materials for all events and manage their distribution
  • Supervise and mentor student staff and other volunteer staff
  • Coordinate projects with Josef Korbel support staff


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong writing, analytical, interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail Interact with a variety of constituents in many capacities
  • Sound judgment, interpersonal ability, organizational management, creativity
  • Requires excellent organizational and communication skills, excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office, Abode Suite (InDesign, Photoshop), web design and database management
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, including knowledge of basic publishing styles 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1-2 years professional experience in non-profit program management 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • 3-4 years professional experience in non-profit program management 
  • Experience in higher education
  • Professional experience with InDesign, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office
