HII-Camber is currently seeking an Export Control Analyst to work out of their Fairfax office.
This Export Control Analyst position provides support to company personnel on the application of U.S. Government export regulations including, the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the Security Assistance Management Manual (SAAM), Foreign Military Sales (FMS) policy, and the National Disclosure Policy (NDP-1). The position requires interface with various internal functions and U.S. Government agencies in obtaining the necessary U.S. Government export licenses, agreements, permits, certifications, technology release authorizations, and commodity jurisdiction determinations.
Duties and Responsibilities: (to include but not be limited to the following):
Responsible for generating, maintaining and monitoring U.S. Government export licenses, agreements, permits, certifications, technology release authorizations, and commodity jurisdiction determinations
Responsible for review and approval of requests for the export controlled goods and information
Represent Corporate Export Operations in meetings and discussions with internal customers and U.S. Government personnel
Assist in implementation of company procedures and instructions to support compliance with U.S. Government export regulations and company policy
Prepare reports and presentations
Track, status, and provide reports and metrics associated with export activities
Manage and maintain export files and records in accordance with U.S. Government export regulations and company policies
Identify training needs, and provide training pertaining to export requirements
Support export/import compliance activities (e.g. self-assessments, internal and external audits)
Participates in related business and corporate projects as required
At least 4 years of export / import related experience
Experience performing export control analyses of programs and transactions to determine jurisdiction and classification of hardware, software, and technologies.
Experience in developing and implementing export control compliance policies and procedures.
Ability to develop and implement training initiatives on the full spectrum of export compliance issues.
Experience with contracts or writing legal document such as export license applications, technical assistance agreements
Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
Excellent analytical skills and a proven ability to interpret and implement regulations
Ability to participate in multi-functional teams working on export issues with an ability to drive issues to conclusions
Attention to detail and follow through on assignments
Self-starter who can develop effective networks with customers
Ability to prioritize among complex and conflicting requirements
Bachelors Degree in business, international relations, political science, history, or similar field
Contracting experience supporting U.S. Federal Government organizations/agencies
