Position description

Manhattan College seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach a course in US Foreign Policy during the Fall 2018 semester. This course serves as an upper division course that examines the ideology, decision-making processes, instruments and major issues of contemporary United States foreign policy. Must have Ph.D. in hand or be enrolled in a Ph.D program in political science or international affairs/studies with demonstrated teaching experience. 

Responsibilities:  

The qualified applicant will teach one section of US Foreign Policy, which services the Government/Political Science, International Studies, and Peace Studies majors. This course serves as an upper division course that examines the ideology, decision-making processes, instruments and major issues of contemporary United States foreign policy. A midterm exam, a final exam and at least several short papers (or a research paper) should be required. The class is capped at 30 students and meets twice a week. The class must be taught on campus.

Qualifications

Must have Ph.D. in hand or be enrolled in a Ph.D program in political science and international affairs/studies with demonstrated teaching experience.
