Position description

The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a unique global network of policy research centers in Russia, China, Europe, the Middle East, India, and the United States, is seeking a Grants Coordinator to work with its DC-based Development team. This position will support the Director of Grants and will work closely with the research programs to help meet fundraising goals. 

The Grants Coordinator will maintain grant procedures and record-keeping, compile proposals and reports, prepare budgets, research prospective funding sources, aid in monitoring appropriate expenditure of grant funds, and support stewarding of funders.


Successful candidates will possess one to two years of fundraising experience, preferably with grants. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and possess superb writing and oral communications skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, proficiency with budgets, and strong interest in international affairs. Experience working with Word, Excel, and database software systems is required.
