Position description

Are you an expert within social policy and could you see yourself playing a leading role in growing our social policy sector in a company with a strong Nordic identity? We are now looking for a senior consultant to join our expanding team in Brussels.

Our European policy and governance department mainly works with the European Institutions and bodies by providing consultancy in public policy and management. We provide policy research and analysis, evaluations and impact assessments, stakeholder engagement and process facilitation, and policy implementation services in a wide range of policy areas.

Your responsibilities

You will take a leading role in our social policy sector, which covers: employment and social affairs, migration and home affairs, and education and culture.

As an experienced consultant and expert in your field, you will contribute to the development of Ramboll Management Consulting’s activities at EU and international level and contribute towards the vision of Ramboll. You will carry out strategic and relationship-based selling and intervene at all stages of the sales funnel.

Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • building relationships with our clients and stakeholders, maintaining our network of partners and experts, identifying and developing new opportunities;
  • being responsible for the management of projects and project teams. Your responsibilities will cover the whole project cycle, from project initiation to completion. Together with your team, you will deliver high quality products and services, including analytical reports, stakeholder events and action plans;
  • planning and executing complex data collection activities, stakeholder consultation programmes, and analyses.

Qualifications

Your success in this role is highly dependent on your ability to establish trustful relations clients and partners. You have a deep knowledge in public policy within at least one of the following areas: employment and social affairs, migration and home affairs, and education and culture. In addition to your expertise area, you possess a willingness and enthusiasm to work across a variety of policy issues.

The ideal candidate has:

  • a Master’s degree in political science, law, economics or a similar field;
  • 3 to 6 years of relevant professional working experience in evaluation, public policy and management consultancy, including proposal development, project management, research and analysis;
  • hands-on experience working on evaluations and impact assessments, and knowledge of the EU Better Regulation guidelines;
  • strong analytical skills, including qualitative and quantitative evaluation and analytical skills, and problem-solving capability;
  • experience in managing multiple projects and/or tendering processes at the same time;
  • experience managing project teams;
  • excellent English skills, both written and oral, and fluency in at least one more EU language.
