Position description

We are currently recruiting for a Partnership Manager, to be based in our Brussels office on a 6-month contract with opportunity for extension.

Save the Children, along with other peer NGOs, is currently working to better understand the impact of Brexit on our global work and positioning in Brussels. Alongside this, the organisation is undertaking a process to ensure we are engaging with the EU in the most efficient, strategic and collective way across our members. This is a six months contract whilst we finalise the design and governance of the new Partnerships Management Unit (PMU). The intention is for the PMU to drive our strategic ambition and support the organisation in understanding the impact of Brexit, as well as developing resilient and sustainable engagement mechanisms and processes across Save the Children that would enable us to strengthen our partnership with the EU.

In this role you will provide vision and strategic direction to the organisation, and wider movement influencing a complex global network of internal and external stakeholders (including at the most senior levels) to optimise our engagement with DG DEVCO and NEAR. You will also strengthen, develop, and optimise both existing and new partnership opportunities, across the global movement, maximising funding, and influence, with DG DEVCO and NEAR.

To be successful in this role you will bring previous extensive experience within and knowledge of DG DEVCO and NEAR and the EU ecosystem, including a strong existing external network/working relationship with key, and particularly senior staff within global, regional and local contexts. You'll also have leadership skills, with an external orientation, situational agility, strategic vision, and commitment to delivering results. Further, you will be flexible and adaptable and able to perform your duties during a period of change.

We offer a competitive salary, a generous company pension scheme, life assurance, and 25 days annual leave.

We need to keep children safe so our selection process reflects our commitment to the protection of children from abuse.
