The Chinese Morning Briefing is a guide to the most important and interesting news of the day for our global Chinese speaking audience.
The briefing will be written in Chinese and the writer will work directly with editors in Beijing each day to create an engaging product that highlights the breadth and depth of New York Times journalism. To make this briefing stand out, the writer will also generate original elements that speak directly to the Chinese and bilingual audience looking to improve their language skills and build cross cultural understanding through our journalism.
Other responsibilities include corresponding with our highly engaged readers and collaborating across The New York Times to come up with ways to expand the briefing's audience and impact.
When time permits the writer should also contribute ideas, research and stories to the broader New York Times report, reporting and writing in English and Chinese.
