Position description

AT&T is currently hiring for a mid-level non-U.S. Forces Analyst to provide on-site support to a government customer.  The successful candidate will apply expertise in data acquisition and/or data development in support of Support for Strategic Analysis (SSA) scenarios.  The analyst will identify, collect, develop, manage, and disseminate current-year and future-year data supporting collaborative study teams.  The candidate will be involved in all aspects of the analytical process, and will obtain/develop/ interpret non-U.S. forces’ order-of-battle and equipment data; and help prepare datasets to either run in theater/campaign-level combat simulations or support other SSA analysis.  The candidate must be able to research a wide variety of possible data sources to provide a wide variety of customers to include modeling and simulation (M&S) with data and/or datasets about non-U.S. forces and capabilities.  The successful candidate must have a strong work ethic, be a team player, and demonstrate excellent oral and written communications skills.  Individual must work with other government and contractor analysts, and possess strong analytic and technical skills.

The work location is at the Mark Center, Alexandria, VA.  Position will require travel to the Pentagon and other offices in the National Capital Region.

 Thorough understanding of non-U.S. Forces (force structure; units and unit hierarchy; equipment; doctrine; strategy; tactics, techniques and procedures, and missions and capabilities) and the U.S. intelligence community structure. 

Familiarity with non-U.S. force data sources required.  Intelligence experience analyzing military forces is a plus.  Experience in the areas of theater/campaign-level analysis, or ground forces’ combat modeling & simulation, operations research or equivalent experience.  

Experience with operations planning at the combatant command level (or service component) and/or equivalent experience on the Joint Staff, OSD staff, or at a senior service school or a war college is a plus.  

High level of experience with the Microsoft Office suite of software is required especially PowerPoint and Excel; experience with database software (i.e. Access) is a plus.  

Experience handling classified materials. Bachelor’s Degree in International Affairs, Political Science, History or Operations Research, or related Social Science area.
