Position description

The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a renowned international affairs think tank headquartered in Washington, DC with five global centers, is seeking a Development Associate to support the annual giving from foundations and corporations of its DC-based development team.

The Development Associate for Annual Giving will report to the Deputy Chief Development Officer and coordinate all fundraising activities from foundations and corporations including proposal development, producing fundraising reports (activities, pledges, donations), managing task lists, and writing the content of donor materials in coordination with the Communications team. The position will also be responsible for organizing cultivation events for foundation and corporate donors, coordinating donor meeting logistics and materials, generating pipeline and donor lists, and supporting donor stewardship activities, including engagement with the Global Advisory Council and its members.

Successful candidates will possess four to five years of relevant fundraising experience, specifically in foundation and corporate relations. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and possess superb writing and oral communications skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, the ability to work independently within a team environment, and experience in executing first-rate small private events and larger meetings.
