Greenheart International is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to connecting people and planet to create a more peaceful and sustainable global community. We achieve our goals through a unique set of programs and initiatives fostering cultural exchange, eco-fair trade, volunteerism, personal development and environmentalism. Greenheart encompasses four main branches: Greenheart Exchange, Greenheart Travel, Greenheart Shop, and Greenheart Transforms.

Within Greenheart Exchange, the Career Advancement Program (CAP) Department has J-1 Internship and Trainee designations through the U.S. Department of State to bring international professionals to the United States on a cultural exchange program that allows them intern or train with a U.S. business. Greenheart Exchange’s CAP program is dedicated to extending the mission of cultural understanding, environmental consciousness and world peace by connecting enthusiastic international professionals and American Host Organizations. As the only non-profit green J-1 visa sponsor, we pride ourselves on providing a quality experience, while encouraging and enabling Greenheart Exchange staff, participants and Host Organizations to work together on projects that promote environmentalism and sustainability.

Some things you might do as a Services Manager:

  •  Manage CAP Services team; direct and manage division meetings, ensuring consistency, efficiency and productivity on all processes
  •  Manage all in-country program support including, but not limited to, lost DS-2019s, travel authorizations, program extensions, program change requests, and insurance inquiries
  •  Oversee development, management of Full Placement Program Option
  •  Ensure implementation of the recruitment strategies, lead generation, Host Organization recruitment
  •  Build relationships planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential Host Organization
  •  Build and maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure exceptional service and identification of potential new opportunities
  •  Identify appropriate prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business
  •  Possess in-depth CAP program knowledge and be able to walk potential Host Organizations through program requirements
  •  Serve as the primary support contact for a limited number of high-profile host organizations
  •  Maintain consistent Host Company contact from start to finish, including contributions to bi-weekly employer newsletters
  •  Collaborate with Policy and Compliance Manager on resolution of escalated in-country issues (participants, partners, host organizations, procedural)
  •  Represent Services number updates and timelines in all departmental meetings
  •  Serve as mediator and mentor in sensitive issues; provide guidance and assurance in resolving issues in a timely, consistent and productive manner
  •  Collaborate with Operations and Policy and Compliance divisions to ensure seamless communication and streamlined process
  •  Ensure that Greenheart further establish itself as an ‘expert in the industry’, including but not limited to, influences that directly impact the industry, such as immigration reform and other. Help control Greenheart’s message to stakeholders while outlining ‘what this means to you.’
  •  Potential local/domestic/international travel to conduct site visits, attend industry conferences/events, or otherwise represent the department
  •  Contributions to social media, outreach and strategic business development
  •  Contribute to the team atmosphere by remaining focused, positive and supportive
  •  Will be required to assist with emergency phone duties on a rotating basis as needed

Qualifications

Some qualifications you should have:

  •  Bachelor’s degree
  •  Minimum of 3 years of professional working experience, sales experience preferred
  •  A minimum of two years of responsible leadership experiences in management or supervisory positions.
  •  Management experience in a team-oriented workplace preferred
  •  Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a department and department staff members
  •  Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  •  High level of general computer skills and Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
  •  Comfort and aptitude for learning new software and understanding work flow processes
  •  Efficiency with data entry and a keen eye for detail
  •  Talent for organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks, proactively considering and implementing measures to improve quality
  •  Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with groups of all ages, nationalities, ethnicities, and backgrounds
  •  Possess a great deal of tact and diplomacy and ability to resolve conflicts that may arise
  •  Genuine desire to contribute to an organization that promotes cultural exchange and environmental consciousness
  •  Experience studying, volunteering, or working abroad
