Position description

The Director of Political Risk Analytics – Financial Solutions applies technical and advanced analytics capabilities to support activities relating to global clients and prospective clients political risk exposures and related solutions.

The Role

The Director of Political Risk Analytics – Financial Solutions applies technical and advanced analytics capabilities to support activities relating to global clients and prospective clients political risk exposures and related solutions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Sales
Works with the PRI specialists in each Geography to identify a pipeline of potential prospects and support sales activity utilizing VAPOR as a differentiator.
Ensures that prospecting activity is properly tracked and supported.
Ensures delivery of agreed sales targets

Political Risk Analytics
Modelling clients’ and prospects Political Risk exposures using WTW’s proprietary modelling tool, VAPOR
Augmenting quantitative analytics with qualitative analysis
Providing ad hoc reporting for clients on specific scenarios or issues of interest
Supporting the sale of Political Risk insurance products to WTW clients and prospects (see Sales)
Identifying opportunities and costs involved to expand scope and capability of the VAPOR model to broaden its application and ensure implementation in accordance with budget once approved by management

Geopolitical Analysis
Providing Thought Leadership articles on GeoPolitical Risk for WTW
Speaking at Trade Events and/or Conferences

The Requirements

10+ years of industry experience ideally in the insurance brokerage industry
Post graduate degree in International Relations or the equivalent
Proven ability to engage with and influence executive (C Suite) decision makers
Exceptional communications (including presentation and writing) skills
Finely honed influence, persuasion and negotiations capabilities
International experience preferred
