Position description

The Manager, Western Region executes the Campaign Engagement account strategy and manages campaign accounts as well as charity alliance relationships. The Manager is responsible and accountable for retaining workplace revenue with current partners, increasing revenue by acquiring new campaign partners, and for relationship management of a portfolio of charity partners in their region. He or she will also engage in new product development and represent Global Impact’s other products and services in the marketplace. 

Major Responsibilities 

Global Impact Account Management 

  • Provides overall relationship management for two regional portfolios: 1. priority charity relationships; 2. private and public sector campaigns/funders in the western region 
  • Preserves Global Impact’s eligibility to participate in assigned public and private sector workplace giving campaigns 
  • Engages charity partners and their staff/volunteers in fundraising events throughout the northwestern region (Washington, Oregon, California, et al) 
  • Engages with donors and represents Global Impact and its charity partners at fundraising events, including speaking engagements and charity fair events 
  • Provides superior customer service to WPG and charity partners 
  • Leads business development effort on assigned prospects to secure new private sector workplace campaigns and advisory projects around the U.S. and to market and sell new products in the philanthropic marketplace 
  • Strategy, Leadership and Administration 
  • Serves on the leadership team for WPG and collaborates with key staff on the development and achievement of goals 
  • Supports campaign services operational framework and reporting, including complete and timely reporting of campaign data 
  • Supports data management in CRM (Salesforce) for accounts and business development efforts 
  • Represents Global Impact at strategic regional events in the industry 

Business Development 

  • Research 
  • Identifies companies in the region that have an interest in global development 
  • Determines past and current interests of the company as it relates to global development, including key decision-makers, trends, philanthropy, CSR, sourcing, sales, etc. and provide examples of similar partnerships with other organizations 
  • Value Proposition 
  • Working with the Senior Director of Campaign engagement, provides offerings that leverage the unique value proposition of Global Impact and respond to business needs 
  • Tailors the value proposition to each prospect and iterate throughout cultivation process 
  • Move Management 
  • Works to identify and cultivate companies who want to support the mission of improving lives for the world’s most vulnerable 
  • Maps relationships of key staff within companies to determine the best strategy for move management 
  • Develops strategy to approach each company and work with stakeholders to implement plan

  • Ability to attend events and outside functions, sometimes outside of normal working hours 
  • Ability to travel 10%- 20% of time. Travel is more prevalent in the fall. 


  • Bachelor’s degree required in a related field (international relations, public administration, communications, business management); master’s degree preferred 
  • 5+ years of experience in a position with a high-level of public exposure such as fundraising, marketing, account management / sales and/or relationship management, or partnership development 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of or experience in global development, international issues, cultural relations, or related field 


  • 7 years of experience in a nonprofit setting 
  • Familiarity with federated models or membership associations
