Position description

The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) is seeking an innovative, collaborative leader to direct its knowledge management and development practice.

The Knowledge Management and Development (KMD) practice serves as IEDC’s knowledge center for economic development information, resources, and technical assistance. The Vice President’s role is to manage the KMD team of approximately eight staff, research and advisory services, proposal development, newsletter and journal, conference and web seminar programming, organizational accreditation program, membership-driven think tank research and programming, and international partnerships and activities. Responsibilities of the position include leadership and team building; content and program innovation, design and implementation; and business development and advisory services.

Qualifications: Masters degree or Ph.D. in a relevant field and/or CEcD with a minimum of seven years of management experience. In-depth understanding of North American economic development industry. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and research skills. Experience with developing and managing federal and foundation grants.
