We are seeking a D.C.-based International Recruiter. The International Recruiter will primarily be responsible for the strategic recruitment of international staff for proposals and active projects. This position will play a key role in identifying and pipelining high-level technical and programmatic staff.
Primary activities include but are not limited to: Within the proposal process, ensure timely completion of recruitment activities. This position will collaborate with staff across departments to ensure that recruitment activities. Complete recruitment documents and write narrative as required for proposals. Conduct active and proactive recruitment for proposals and current projects. Maintain recruitment contacts database and recruitment workflow system. Maintain relationships with staff and potential candidates for critical positions. Under guidance, ensure timely and professional completion of recruitment activities, including the completion of documents and narrative required for proposals. Support the recruitment operations specialist in negotiating compensation according to policy, and ensure all verifications are completed in a timely manner.
In addition, this person will Periodically assess the efficiency and effectiveness of the recruitment process through performance analytics, staff feedback, and changing donor trends. Represent the organization at recruitment fairs and other functions where potential candidates are located. Perform any other duties as assigned to ensure timely and professional submission of proposals.
Minimum Qualifications include a Master’s or bachelor’s degree in in business, economics, policy development, public administration international relations, or other related field. (additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of advanced degree). Experience with Applicant Tracking System(s) desired. Experience with the hiring and procurement practices of USAID and other agencies is desirable. Demonstrated ability to write coherently and persuasively. Strong interpersonal, communication and networking skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under tight timelines. Professional proficiency in French language highly desired. Ability and willingness to travel internationally.
