AMP Global Youth is looking for program coordinators for Global Scholar – a summer program focusing on international affairs and social change for high school students. Coordinators oversee learning, logistics and safety. This position would oversee our newly-launched NYC program.
This is a great position for someone interested in global education, foreign policy, leadership, social change and youth development. Successful candidates will have experience leading trips, programs, camps and/or activities serving high school students. The ideal candidate will also have formal or informal experience facilitating, teaching and/or training groups, as well as strong familiarity with global issues, either through education or work experience. Note: most sessions are led by speakers or trainers, so while the Coordinator is welcome to incorporate their expertise and experiences into the program they will ultimately play a guiding / facilitation role.
Our parent organization AMP Global Youth was founded in 2002 by students at Yale with the goal of helping students explore the US role in the world following 9/11.
This is a one-time, three-week contract position from July 8-26.
Hours, Pay and Benefits: This is a one-time, contract position for three weeks in the month of July (July 8-26), and includes 3 days training prior to the start of the program (timing flexible). Salary will depend on experience, and is roughly equivalent to $22-$24/hour.
