Primary Function

ADL Education (“EDU”) is a geographically distributed team headquartered in NYC that is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of EDU’s ambitious digitization and productization goals. The EDU Project Manager is an energetic, multi-talented and detail-oriented professional with deep practical experience of project management practices and tools and a history of working across time–zones with distributed teams. The ideal candidate will combine a fanatical attention to detail with the ability to keep in mind the 1,000-foot view and the business goals for each project and its stakeholders.


Day–to–day work will involve managing multi–participant workflows for complex projects developed for online, in–person and print distribution; coordinating schedules and meetings, and providing quality control for EDU products. Being able to problem-solve under pressure, accommodate shifting timelines and priorities and organize information quickly are essential.


This position can be based in ADL offices in NYC, Chicago, Boston, or Boca Raton.



  • Develop and manage detailed project plans with direction from project leads and the Sr. Director of T&L.
  • Document scope, objectives, specifications and quality benchmarks for each project
  • Manage workflow/schedules for production of multiple simultaneous projects for print and digital curricula, training manuals and other educational resources.
  • Schedule and coordinate team meetings with internal and external members as required.
  • Anticipate upcoming projects based on the editorial and T&L deliverables calendar and create resource plan recommendations based on anticipated workload
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Provide direction and leadership to project participants to ensure that everyone meets their deliverables within project budgets.
  • Plan, manage, and track digital asset development to facilitate accurate and timely delivery of projects.
  • Re-allocate resources when necessary to keep overall production queue on schedule
  • Manage quality and accuracy of all deliverables through QA and reviews with the project team
  • Update the T&L project list on a daily basis.
  • Work with other ADL units (International Affairs, Comms, Social, IT, Brand & Marketing) and EDU team leadership to deliver on–time and outstanding educational products.


Work Experience

  • A minimum of 3–5 years of creative and/or production experience in a fast-paced environment producing a high volume of multi-faceted online and print projects, with at least 2 years in a team or project leadership position required.
  • Experience working in lean/AGILE environments preferred.
  • Experience with a wide array of project management tools and methodologies preferred.
  • Education product and/or startup experience strongly preferred.
