Chief Executives Organization (CEO) is a global invitation-only membership organization of current and former chairmen and chief executive officers with a strong connection to Young Presidents Organization (YPO). CEO provides members and spouses with life-enriching experiences through over 30 educational events each year. 

 

Position Title:

Education Manager

 

Position Overview:

The Education Manager will plan and manage educational content for select CEO events. She/he will maintain program documents, draft and edit correspondence, manage speaker-related data in the Salesforce database, post online program content, and assist with other event-related tasks.  She/he may be assigned additional special projects in support of the organization’s mission, annual objectives, and team core values.

CEO’s Senior Education Manager

 

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years managing educational content for events desired
  • Driven, intellectually-curious and detail-oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, a hospitable personality and a professional phone presence
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Ability to work individually as well as in teams
  • Ability to multi-task with ease
  • Comfortable in an environment in which priorities are often changing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience with databases; experience in Salesforce database a plus
  • Demonstrated interest in global affairs, business, and/or adult education
  • Ability to have a flexible schedule and interest in traveling, domestically and internationally, sometimes including weekends
  • Fluency or proficiency in a second language a plus

 

Key Responsibilities:

Event Planning and Management                                                                                             

  • Collaborate with event chairs and event committee members to develop educational objectives and themes to ensure their programmatic vision is realized.
  • Research dynamic speakers for CEO events and webcasts, and generate ideas for potential speakers by remaining current on top trends and global issues.
  • Create education portion of event budgets and negotiate resource honoraria and vendor contracts.
  • Coordinate all resource travel and hotel arrangements in addition to onsite logistics, audio-visual and presentation needs.
  • Coordinate the faculty hosts for each resource and all event remarks, including introductions.
  • Serve as an on-site team member, managing educational development and programming, for site visits and CEO events.
  • Secure onsite doctor for international events and coordinate onsite security and medical plans.

 

Data Management                                                                                                                      

  • Manage all speaker-related data in the Salesforce database, including profile formation and maintenance.
  • Maintain a resource status grid for each event that tracks the status of each resource as well as the status of information received.
  • Enter event evaluation data.

Administrative Support                                                                                                                     

  • Manage and maintain education program planning documents.
  • Assist with scheduling of conference calls and meetings as needed to include member visits, committee meetings and event chair briefings.

 

Correspondence and Promotional Materials                                                                             

  • Draft and edit correspondence, including invitations, confirmations, specific event descriptions, thank you notes and other correspondence as required.
  • Draft and edit newsletters, speakers’ biographies and session abstracts for event publications.
  • Draft event marketing and communication materials.
  • Post educational programming content, including information that appears live on organization’s website.

 

Team Leadership                                                                                                                         

  • Coordinate, as needed, on projects with interns and other team members.
  • Provide a minimum of one piece of valuable feedback in the Threads HR platform every month for a CEO team member.
  • Consistently read feedback and follow up with relevant training, encouragement and accountability.
  • Actively participate in the organization’s various ad-hoc groups.
  • Assist with special projects in support of the organization’s mission, annual objectives, and team core values.
