Reuters is seeking an ambitious reporter for our Washington bureau to join our foreign policy reporting team.
The reporter will be expected to contribute to our coverage of U.S. policy toward Iran, Russia, North Korea, China, the Middle East and other areas of the world. The ideal candidate will be able to develop sources at the State Department and in the broader diplomatic community.
As the leading global news organization, Reuters needs a reporter who can work closely with bureaus around the world, sharing tips, sources and bylines with colleagues in different continents. In the Washington bureau she or he will work collaboratively with not just other foreign policy reporters but with journalists covering other beats. The foreign policy correspondent should be a self-starter, able to generate distinctive story ideas and execute them in a timely fashion, seamlessly working with other reporters and editors.
