Counterterrorism Intelligence Analyst Job Description:

Support intelligence research and analysis in the Counterterrorism (CT) domain for a dynamic and rapidly growing national security organization. Candidate will be integrated with a team of CT experts who seek to identify and counter CT dissemination and amplification of disinformation and propaganda via rigorous intelligence production and policy advisement. Work collaboratively with other threat area experts as well as data scientists to develop intelligence analysis, reports, and briefings informed by both domain expertise and quantitative analysis. Partner with interagency organizations to share data, reporting, tradecraft, and assessments to facilitate optimal flow of information and rigorousness of assessment. 

 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Intake of customer questions and shaping of questions to develop analytical insights.
  • Execution and integration of qualitative and quantitative research methods. 
  • Continued development of CT expertise with specific focus on threat areas, threat actors, and key events.
  • Authoring and editing of finished intelligence products, reports, and briefings.
  • Collaboration with other threat experts and interagency partners to develop security strategy and policy.  

Qualifications

Basic Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in international affairs, political science, security studies, regional studies, or related field
  • 3+ years’ relevant work experience in national security or intelligence community missions
  • 3+ years’ experience performing intelligence analysis and production
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise in CT and related security or regional domains to include awareness of the tactics, techniques, and procedures of threat actors

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the intelligence cycle and related analytical tradecraft
  • Strong written and oral communications
  • Entrepreneurial mindset that seeks to add value and originates analytic insight 
  • Knowledge of data science and analytics processes, tools, and outcomes
  • Experience with intelligence community databases (TAC, QueryTree, M3) and tools
  • Experience interacting with Senior-government officials
  • Experience collaborating and coordinating production with interagency partners
  • Arabic or Farsi language expertise


An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
