Position description

The ideal candidates should have research and pedagogical interests in one or more of the following areas: critical approaches to international relations; international law and human rights; political geography; politics and technology; and/or the politics of religion. The ideal candidate should be able to teach courses in several of the following courses: international relations, comparative politics, and/or international law and organizations. The search is open to scholars of any geographic region, but the department has a particular interest in scholars of the Global South. We welcome candidates with training in Political Science or other related disciplinary and interdisciplinary fields.

Responsibilities

The teaching load for this position is a three/three, and the faculty member will also be expected to maintain an active research agenda, participate in university service, and advise students.

Qualifications

Qualifications: Ph.D. strongly preferred by September 2020, as are demonstrated excellence in and commitment to teaching, and a strong research and publishing record commensurate with the candidate’s experience.
