Position description

We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our expanding Kenya programme.

You will be responsible for providing leadership within the Kenya/Horn of Africa (HOA) program to design, secure and deliver high quality programs, secure funding for new projects as well as cultivating relationships with donors and potential new partners also identify opportunities for program growth within the HOA context, collaborating with Alert staff and partners to devise strategies for program development, spearheading the conceptualization of innovative peacebuilding programs and overseeing monitoring and integrating lessons learnt into designing new programs.

As a graduate or postgraduate in conflict and peacebuilding studies, gender , Social/Political Science, international relations and other relevant subjects, you will have strong experience in securing new funding, developing project concepts and donor relationships; writing proposals and budgets, and negotiating contracts, working with a wide range of donors (institutional, multilateral, trusts and foundations), an understanding of diverse donor requirements, and experience in identifying funding opportunities and tracking donor trends.
