Position description

Reading Partners is a national nonprofit that mobilizes communities to provide students with the proven, individualized reading support they need to read at grade level by fourth grade.

Support implementation of Reading Partners’ tutoring programs across a portfolio of reading centers, which could be in a school, community center, or other partner site. 
- Manage student and tutor data records, through regular assessment and progress monitoring and track student progress
- Provide ongoing tutoring to students at multiple partner sites
- Collaborate with other AmeriCorps service members to share best practices
- Co-lead student support to implement Reading Partners’ online tutoring program at a portfolio of partner school sites
- Forge and maintain positive relationships to create a welcoming tutoring environment for students, caregivers, faculty & staff, and volunteer tutors
- Provide coverage for reading centers if a Program Coordinator is absent

Qualifications

- Possess a high school diploma or GED
- Hold US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status
- Be at least 18-years old at the beginning of your service 
- Have not completed more than four (4) terms with AmeriCorps
- Root your service in our vision & values
- Pay strong attention to detail and manage competing priorities effectively
- Are open to learning technology systems like Salesforce, Google Apps, and Zoom 
- Are able to both collaborate in a team environment and work independently
- Bonus points if you are an AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, or other national service alum/alumna; and/or have experience volunteering with community-based or education programs
