Take part in the policy debates that will influence the future of Europe.

Do you have sound experience in strategic planning, external relations or a similar function, ideally gained with a multilateral development bank (MDB), international organisation, European institution or government? Are you well versed in the activities of MDBs and the political context within which they operate? Then you can foster dialogue and co-ordination with leaders of major development banks to enhance their lending capacity, improve climate financing, drive cross-country collaboration and mobilise the private sector.

Bringing together 43 member countries, the CEB finances and responds to emergency situations and actively enhances the living conditions of the most disadvantaged groups. Strengthening social cohesion and building thriving communities in Europe, we drive inclusive growth, bolster economic sustainability – and create exceptional careers.

Providing analyses, briefs and documents for consideration, you will contribute to policy debate at the highest levels. This will involve gathering intelligence from across the Bank, identifying subjects for speeches by our Governor and preparing minutes for relevant meetings, as well as interacting with high level professionals, so you will require meticulous attention to detail, excellent diplomatic skills and ability to spot interesting topics and trends.

To join us, you should bring:

  • An advanced university degree in economics or a related field;
  • Knowledge of key political and economic institutions such as the G20;
  • Demonstrable flair and diplomacy to operate within high-level multinational and multicultural settings;
  • A flexible approach to everything you do, backed by proven ability to meet strict deadlines;
  • Outstanding writing ability, enabling you to deliver clear and concise reports, speeches and presentations;
  • Excellent command of one of the two CEB official languages (English and French), both oral and written, and good knowledge of the other.
