Position description

For fifty years, the Ostrom Workshop at Indiana University Bloomington has been an interdisciplinary melting pot welcoming researchers, practitioners, and policymakers from around the world to tackle some of the hardest problems we face, including climate change, polarization, and resolving conflict over scarce resources. The tools, methodologies, and frameworks developed and deployed to better understand and address these challenges have helped shape academic and policy discourse across a range of fields.

This position is intended to provide mentored research training and experience for a post doc fellow whose interests are aligned with the field of Technology Governance, which could include: artificial intelligence (AI) governance, Big Data, cybersecurity, data governance, knowledge commons, critical infrastructure protection, and smart cities. The post doc fellow will work under the mentorship of core faculty at the Ostrom Workshop, including Professors Angie Raymond, Scott Shackelford, and Gustavo Torrens. This postdoctoral appointment will be for one year with option to renew for one additional year. Priority application deadline would be late summer (end of July/early August), and then the start date would be flexible. Applicants should include a CV and cover letter.
