Work Location
- Headquarters, Geneva, Switzerland
Expected Duration
- Minimum of 3 months starting 5 January 2026 with possibility of extension up to a maximum of six months.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct basic research to support implementation of the team’s activities, including NTM Business surveys in Africa and other developing countries.
- Assist with the design of data collection tools and ensure data quality for business surveys.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new data visualizations for reports, websites, presentations, etc.
- Assist in following up on trainings delivered by certified trainers on NTM and Market Access topics, reporting these events in the ITC ‘Event App’.
- Attend coordination meetings about ePing with relevant colleagues from WTO and UNDESA.
- Assist in organizing webinars in African countries on topics related to the NTM team (Trade Obstacles Alert Mechanism, ePing, etc.).
- Contribute to other ITC work on market access as required.
- Support the team in other tasks to implement NTM surveys and activities.
Qualifications
-
- Enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent), or
- Enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher), or
- Graduated with a university degree and must commence the internship within one year of graduation.
- Fields of Study: Economics, International Development, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Work Experience:

- Experience in trade-related issues and research.
- Previous experience with data analysis and data visualization tools is desirable.
- Skills:

- Ability to learn quickly and ask questions.
- Organized and reliable.
Languages
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
- Knowledge of French is desirable.
