Position description

The International Yehudi Menuhin Foundation (IYMF) is looking for a Communication & Project Officer to join our Brussels-based team. We are seeking a motivated and proactive professional who believes in the transformative power of the arts in society. Working within a small and dynamic team, you will gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of our activities and quickly take on responsibility in both communications and project management.

Key Responsabilities

Communications & Digital Presence

      • Manage and develop IYMF’s online communication channels (social media, WordPress website, newsletter,…)
      • Contribute to communication strategy and content planning
      • Draft and edit content for various audiences and platforms
      • Design and format reports, presentations, and communication materials (Canva, PowerPoint, Reports)

Events & Office Support

      • Contribute to the content and logistical organisation of events (conferences, trainings, workshops, panels, webinars, concerts, etc.)
      • Support office management tasks
      • Support governance processes (Board meetings, minute-taking, administrative follow-up)

Project & Fundraising Support

      • Support Network Members
      • Support the management of EU-funded projects (Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, Creative Europe)
      • Assist with reporting and administrative coordination
      • Contribute to fundraising activities, including bid writing for EU programmes and private sponsors

Profile & Requirements

      • Excellent spoken and written English. Knowledge of another European language is an asset
      • Academic background in a relevant field (communications, journalism, European studies, project management, sociology, humanities or similar)
      • Strong interest in arts, culture, and education
      • Excellent written and editorial skills, adaptable to different communication channels
      • Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities
      • Strong team spirit and interpersonal skills
      • Independent and solution-oriented working style
      • A strong desire to learn and a positive, can-do attitude
      • Right to live and work in Belgium
      • Available to travel for project meetings and events
      • Knowledge of Canva, WordPress CMS, and Brevo
      • Graphic design skills are an asset
      • Understanding of EU institutions and decision-making processes is a plus
      • Experience in art, culture and education sector is a plus
      • Experience in EU funded projects is a plus
