Editorial Internship

Position description

WorldView magazine is the flagship publication of the National Peace Corps Association, a nonprofit organization that represents the 250,000 Americans who have served in the Peace Corps. The magazine is published twice annually, in print and publishes online regularly alongside a growing social media presence. 

The internship provides students (undergraduate or graduate) with the opportunity to learn about print and digital publishing, nonprofit communications strategy, and digital marketing. The intern will assist the editor in chief with producing and curating content across channels and platforms, including WorldView magazine, digital newsletters, our website, and social media channels. This is an ideal opportunity for a student with strong journalism and digital media skills who is passionate about storytelling, global issues, and national and international service.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, write, and edit blog posts for the WorldView website
• Help maintain website content using WordPress.
• Create and schedule engaging content for NPCA’s social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Facebook, etc.).
• Provide general editorial and production support to the communications team.

Qualifications

• Student in journalism, communications, media, or a related field
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Experience with digital publishing and design tools like Wordpress, Canva, etc.
• Previous experience creating social media
• Ability to work independently in a remote team setting

• Duration: 3 months (Summer 2026)
• Time Commitment: 20 hours per week
• Location: Remote or Washington, D.C.–based
• Course credit for a university or college must be provided for all interns
