Tompkins County Government is inviting applications for a Human Rights Program Manager, a meaningful opportunity to help build a more equitable, inclusive, and supportive community for all residents. In this role, you’ll lead programs that promote civil rights, expand access to services, and address barriers faced by underserved populations. You’ll work closely with community members, local organizations, and County departments to provide education on human rights protections, coordinate trainings and outreach efforts, and use data to strengthen programs that make a real difference in people’s lives. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about equity and community impact, with strong communication skills and experience in human rights, advocacy, or program management. Candidates should have either a bachelor’s degree with two years of relevant experience, an associate’s degree with four years of experience, or an equivalent combination. Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : a. Bachelor’s degree in Human Rights, Law, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or a closely related field and two (2) years of professional experience in human rights, civil rights, community advocacy, program administration, or a related area OR b. Associate’s degree in Human Rights, Law, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or a closely related field and four (4) years of professional experience in human rights, civil rights, community advocacy, program administration, or a related area OR c. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience equal to or greater than a or b.
