Senior Policy Analyst / Subject Matter Expert

Senjay Regional Insights Consulting

Position description

We are expanding our elite expert network and seeking seasoned, U.S.-based Senior Policy Analysts and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to join us on a flexible, remote basis. This role is tailor-made for professionals with deep institutional knowledge of the Washington foreign policy apparatus who want to apply their analytical rigor to high-impact, independent global mandates.

Areas of Interest

While deep familiarity with Western foreign policy mechanisms is essential, we welcome experts across a broad spectrum of intersecting domains. We are looking for sharp minds capable of authoring sophisticated briefings in fields such as:

Geopolitics & Foreign Affairs: Regional security architectures, alliance networks, and diplomatic statecraft (with a strong emphasis on, but not limited to, Indo-Pacific and U.S.-Asia dynamics).

Defense & Military Strategy: Conventional deterrence, military modernization, gray-zone warfare, and strategic stability.

Geo-economics & Supply Chains: Semiconductor diplomacy, economic coercion, global trade resilience, and critical technology frameworks.

Energy & Infrastructure Security: Critical mineral access, maritime choke points, and global infrastructure vulnerabilities.

Qualifications

Predictive Rigor: Ability to identify "weak signals" and synthesize complex geopolitical or macroeconomic data into crisp, objective recommendations.

Executive Communication: Elite capability to draft boardroom-ready strategic briefs, memos, and policy papers in impeccable English.

Complete Autonomy: 3–10+ years of professional experience (e.g., D.C. think tanks, government agencies, consulting) with a proven track record of managing deliverables in an asynchronous environment.
