Position description

People in Need (PIN) is a Czech-based international non-governmental organization (NGO) that has provided humanitarian and development assistance across more than 20 countries since 1992. Today, PIN stands as one of the largest organizations of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe, supporting vulnerable communities in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe. PIN empowers civil society, advocates for human rights, and promotes social inclusion both in the Czech Republic and abroad.

About the project:

The project aims to strengthen nutrition governance through improved collaboration between civil society, communities and government institutions. It promotes participatory planning, multi-stakeholder nutrition governance, social accountability, evidence-based advocacy and strengthened civil society engagement in nutrition-related decision-making. The project was designed to address governance challenges affecting nutrition outcomes, including weak coordination mechanisms, limited participation of civil society in planning processes and insufficient accountability mechanisms.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
* Support the sustainability and scale-up of the CS4N model by: * Translating and packaging the CS4N methodology into a practical and user-friendly implementation guide for provincial and municipal authorities. * Producing high-quality knowledge products that document evidence, results, lessons learned and good practices from the project and support future replication and advocacy efforts.
* Review and Analysis of CS4N Methodology
* Development of the Participatory Planning for Nutrition (PP4N) Replication Guide
* Documentation of Project Evidence and Lessons Learned
* Development of Knowledge Products

Main requirements:
* Advanced university degree (Master's degree or higher) in Development Studies, Public Policy, Governance, Nutrition, Public Health, Social Sciences, International Development, Knowledge Management, Communications or a related field.
* Demonstrated experience in developing methodologies, implementation manuals, toolkits and practical guidance documents for governments, development agencies or civil society organizations.
* Proven experience documenting and synthesizing lessons learned, good practices and evidence from complex development programmes.
* Demonstrated experience producing policy briefs, advocacy documents, case studies and strategic knowledge products for donors, governments and development partners.
* Previous experience working on governance, nutrition, public health, social inclusion or community development programmes is highly desirable.
* Previous experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa is required.
* Experience working in Angola and/or Lusophone countries will be considered a strong asset.
* Experience working on European Union-funded programmes is highly desirable.
* Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
* Strong writing, editing and communication skills with proven ability to translate complex programme experiences into practical guidance and policy-oriented products.
* Excellent written and spoken English.
