Position description

The Transparency International Secretariat is seeking a People Associate (m/f/d) to join the People & Culture Team in Berlin (hybrid). The People Associate plays a key role in ensuring the efficient delivery of People & Culture operations and services across the Secretariat, providing employee-facing support, coordinating payroll administration, maintaining HR data and records, managing employee benefit processes, and supporting immigration and employment administration. The role is a central point of contact for employees and collaborates closely with People Business Partners, Finance, external service providers, and public authorities. Main accountabilities: manage the central HR inbox and respond to employee questions; prepare and manage employee documentation (employment certificates, parental leave confirmations, reference letters); maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS and personnel files; coordinate the monthly payroll administration process with external providers; administer employee benefit schemes (meal vouchers, corporate sports memberships); provide administrative coordination for visa, residence permit, and work authorization processes; and contribute to process improvements and standardization of HR procedures. Candidate profile: at least 2 years of professional experience in HR administration or operations; relevant academic qualification, certification, or vocational training in HR, Business Administration, or a related field; experience with HR information systems and employee data management; experience supporting payroll and benefits processes; knowledge of German employment administration practices desirable. Skills: strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal and customer-service communication, high accuracy and attention to detail, fluent German and English (spoken and written), ability to handle confidential information with discretion, and proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel). Fixed-term two-year contract, full time (40 hours/week), salary band PF1 EUR 35,175-49,035 gross per year. Starting date ASAP.
