The Atlantic Council seeks over 40 talented and enthusiastic Interns for Summer 2017.
The successful candidates will have a passion for the work, an entrepreneurial ethos and a collegial spirit while also being effective communicators and enjoying the fast pace of learning and growing in an organization. Demonstrated interest in international affairs through class work and/or experience is strongly preferred.
The Council takes pride in cultivating the future leaders of the transatlantic community. Our Internship program provides a pool of energetic young talent to the Council and in turn offers promising students with practical experience in their field of study, honing skills that will prepare them for the next step in their chosen career.
Interns provide important research and logistical support to their respective Centers. All interns are encouraged to participate in and attend events hosted by other programs at the Atlantic Council. Interns are also encouraged to pursue their own research projects and to write and publish their own policy briefs or blog posts.
The positions are unpaid, but candidates gain valuable skills, experience, knowledge, and contacts in the Washington, DC international policy community. A monthly metro reimbursement is offered, as well as Interview and Resume Workshops, Networking Sessions, and briefings with our Military and State Department Fellows.
