McLarty Associates is seeking a graduate student or undergraduate senior for paid summer internship focusing on the Middle East and Northern Africa. Applicants for the position should meet the following criteria:
The ideal candidate is an accomplished researcher, an excellent writer and exceptionally organized, with an understanding of international politics, economics, business and culture. He or she should have a strong background, demonstrated interest, and experience living or studying in the Middle East or Northern Africa. Regional language preferred, such as Arabic or French, but not required.
Responsibilities of the internship include extensive research of public policy and business issues; translation; attending and reporting on speeches, panel discussions and policy forums of interest to the firm and clients; assisting professional staff with general office and administrative support; and a commitment to work from mid-May through August, full-time.
