We are currently looking for a Programmes Officer to join us in our Glasgow Office who will contribute to the development and operational success of the school feeding programmes. In this role, you will ensure that the work carried out by our directly managed and partner programmes is understood, supported and delivered in line with the Mary’s Meals model.
It is essential that you have a degree in a relevant subject or demonstrable significant experience in a similar role and have worked in development in a developing country. You must be able to commit to regular travel to visit our overseas directly managed and partner programmes.
In addition, you will have an understanding of the principles of international development as well as cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people in different countries and settings.
Familiarity with using common planning tools in international development, including log frames is essential, with experience of reporting on institutional grants highly desirable. You will have excellent writing and presentation skills and experience of developing, monitoring and reporting against agreed strategy and providing operational reports to management.
Most importantly, you will have an appreciation of the impact of Mary’s Meals school feeding programme and a belief that our simple approach can change the lives of children and communities.
