About the Position:
This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-APF-W6TMAA US ARMY NAT GROUND INTL C.

Army DCIPS positions apply Veteran's Preference to preference eligible candidates as defined by Section 2108 of Title 5 U.S.C., in accordance with the procedures provided in DoD Instruction 1400.25, Volume 2005, DCIPS Employment and Placement.
Serves as an Intelligence Specialist (Operations Support). Focuses on Division-level operational intelligence and business support activities. Assists Branch and Division Chiefs assemble intelligence production plans by consolidating input from several sources. Tracks status of formal and informal intelligence production and RFIs using automated procedures and provides staff elements with data as required. Archives informal intelligence production and briefings, and assists in the process of making these products available on external websites as appropriate. Manages the day-to-day Division and Branch business operations by maintaining activities calendars, tracking internally and externally-levied tasks, maintaining Division Sharepoint site(s), ordering supplies, preparing all written correspondence necessary for approval by the NGIC chain of command, and drafting standard operating procedures based on guidance from the Division chief and Branch chiefs. Prepares reports such as Weekly Activities Reports, as well as summaries of key events such as travel, conferences, briefings, and visitors for submission to staff elements. Manages awards and travel budget expenditures and prepares periodic financial analysis reports. Assists in hosting visitors, including preparing talking points and agendas, reserving meeting rooms, ensuring security clearances are passed and coordinating with NGIC counterparts to ensure appropriate participation. Maintains training and personnel records, ensuring individual development plans and mandatory training requirements are updated and tracked for completeness. Performs research of unclassified and classified intelligence holdings using a variety of data mining software and contributes that research and analysis to analysts as appropriate.
