As a member of Lockheed Martin's Bethesda, MD-based Global Emergency Operations Center (GEOC) team, the successful candidate will support our worldwide crisis management, international security, and threat analysis programs.
Crisis management duties will include leading the facilitation and oversight of GEOC operating protocols; reviewing crisis management plans and templates; supporting crisis management exercises; collecting and presenting metrics, and supporting business-minded and risk-managed crisis management solutions that further the Global Security and Crisis Management team's strategy, vision, and mission. The candidate will also support outreach efforts to promote enterprise-wide engagement with crisis management in general and employee mass communications programs in particular.
Security and intelligence support duties will require engaging with a wide variety of source material to develop and communicate succinct, persuasive analyses, observations and recommendations to department leadership and enterprise business partners to promote the safety and security of international employees, travelers and interests.
Based on a combination of her/his geographic subject matter expertise and operational requirements, the candidate will be assigned to provide intelligence analysis support to a specific Regional Security Manager (RSM) for the Americas, Europe, Asia-Pacific, or the Middle East and Africa. In that capacity, the candidate will provide regionally focused threat assessment reports and related products in support of the RSM and her/her Lockheed Martin business stakeholders.
The candidate may support international air and trade show security planning and other executive travel events, preparing briefs, and providing on-site support as required.
The GEOC is a highly collaborative, open-plan operations center environment, and success in the role depends on the candidate demonstrating outstanding interpersonal skills and a record of excellence as a collaborative member of high-performing teams. The GEOC’s often fast-paced work tempo requires a candidate whose experience includes the ability to rapidly shift focus and reprioritize tasks to meet frequently changing operational requirements.
The candidate must possess operational experience in crisis management, emergency management planning and response, intelligence analysis, or international security management. Experience in preparing and delivering training, building and testing emergency plans, enabling and assisting the business by applying an assortment of security and emergency preparedness methodologies across the globe is also required.
The candidate must demonstrate evidence of excellent oral and written communications skills, with experience briefing diverse audiences on subject matter relevant to the position, and the ability to draft succinct, persuasive analyses geared to her/his audience’s operational needs and knowledge levels on short notice and with minimal editing support. Familiarity with MS Office basics (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
An undergraduate degree in a discipline related to the position is required (e.g., international relations, security management, emergency management, business, regional studies), but highly relevant experience, especially in a globally-focused operations center environment, will be considered in lieu of full completion of an undergraduate degree.
This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance.
Experience presenting data in an innovative, visually arresting manner using self-made or commercially available data visualization platforms (including charts, diagrams, and animations) is desirable, as is advanced-level facility with MS Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
Graduate-level study in a relevant discipline is desired.
Experience with in-depth intelligence/threat analysis via social media and/or analysis of the “deep web” or “dark web”.
