Position description

Graphika is growing an analytical team passionate about protecting elections integrity, detecting and developing responses against media manipulation, information operations, and propaganda campaigns around the world. We are looking for an Intelligence Analyst with extensive experience in investigating and analyzing online threat actors—their tactics, strategies, and evolutions—and appropriate solutions to protect Internet users. Our analyst will be joining a growing team shaping how key actors across the public and private sectors can respond to the the challenges of disinformation, fake news, and hate campaigns on social media.



  • Has a demonstrated track record of utilizing qualitative and quantitative research methods to study media manipulation, in both academic and applied industry settings; has a PhD (preferred) / Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computational Social Science).

  • Is a resourceful self-starter, able to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to source actionable leads and analyze complex campaigns: human rights defenders, investigative journalists, data scientists, academics, and information security professionals.

  • Is able to leverage multiple analytical tools and platforms to analyze complex online movements and able to leverage in-depth interviews, field research, data analysis, and investigative approaches to investigate and analyze social media movements and online threat actors.

  • Is passionate about Internet and Society issues, has a strong understanding of geopolitical dynamics, and cares about the health of the internet and the networked public sphere globally.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can thoughtfully analyze multidimensional and cross-platform social media movements while being able to deliver high-quality, rigorous, and actionable research findings under time constraints.

  • Is comfortable collaborating with computer scientists and data scientists to pioneer new research methods and innovative ways to present data and inform the public on complex topics, and to develops tools aimed at protecting Internet users against disinformation and hate speech online.

  • Is dedicated to transparency, to protecting user privacy, and to championing human rights online.

Multilingual proficiency and ability to travel as necessary are great to have.
