Position description

Leidar is an international advocacy and communication consultancy headquartered in Geneva, with offices in London, Brussels, Dubai and Oslo. Our culturally diverse team has a breadth of international experience that gives Leidar a uniquely global mind-set.

Our deep experience brings with it the expertise, knowledge and judgement we have gained by working as part of, and alongside, some of the world’s leading blue-chip multinationals and trade associations, UN organisations and foundations - on some of the most high-profile and challenging topics, which includes a strong focus on sustainability and the SDGs.

Delivering across the entire spectrum of communications disciplines enables us to successfully design, plan, implement and manage robust strategic advocacy programmes - helping to meet our clients’ objectives and beyond.

We are looking for a highly-qualified motivated self-starter, who is keen to join a growing and dynamic business. Due to recent new business wins, we are looking to recruit an advocacy and communications consultant to join our award-winning Brussels team.

Type of contract: full-time
Start: September 2019
Deadline to apply: 15 July 2019

What is the role?

You will be expected to contribute to all aspects of our work in Brussels, whilst working closely with our colleagues in Geneva and beyond. There will be a particular focus on planning and executing communications strategies, including digital, social and traditional media; actively supporting the work of our public affairs team; delivering clear and precise client-driven analysis and advice; and contributing to our marketing and business development activities.

Qualifications

  • A graduate in Business, Communications, International or EU Relations with minimum 5 years’ relevant experience acquired working with a consultancy, the EU institutions or a civil society organisation;
  • An excellent understanding of the Brussels and international political and stakeholder landscape;
  • A proven track record in formulating and implementing successful advocacy and communication campaigns;
  • Excellent judgement and problem-solving skills, and the ability to find creative and effective ways to realise client objectives;
  • Practical knowledge of social media management and analytical tools. Working knowledge of Google Analytics is a plus;
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization, and proven project management skills and ability to meet conflicting deadlines;
  • English native-level is a must and fluency in at least one other European language (with a preference for German or Spanish).
