Position description

If you’re as excited about transforming children’s lives as we are, why not join us at The Children’s Society and use your skills to connect and inspire people?

At The Children’s Society we’re doing things a bit differently. We know that building long term relationships with our supporters is the key to creating lasting change for the children who so desperately need us. So our teams have been reorganised around supporters and this role has a focus on communicating with our audiences through both offline and online channels.

You’ll sit in our Supporter Giving & Engagement team – a team of 14 great people that develops and delivers most of the large-scale communications with our supporters. Our team is not just responsible for fundraising. For us, life time value includes volunteering, donating and campaigning – every way a supporter can engage – so you’ll be working really closely with colleagues across the organisation to attract and engage supporters.

You’ll work with, and support, the Supporter Giving and Engagement Manager to drive income and impact. Building on audience insight to develop supporter journeys and the creative marketing activity across a variety of channels. You’ll bring new ideas, be results focused and ensure campaigns are delivered to budget and targets. In return, we offer an ambitious and supportive work environment with some great colleagues.

And, if that’s not enough, we have just moved to brand new offices on Banner Street just round the corner from the Whitecross Street food market and only a few minutes from Old Street station.

Ideally you will have:

  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary marketing environment
  • Experience of end-to-end campaign management
  • Good communication and creative skills with attention to detail
  • Good numeracy and data analysis skills with the ability to spot trends and adjust fundraising activity to account for insights.

That said, the key thing for us is that you have initiative, a keenness to get stuck in and a desire to achieve great things for children and young people in this country. If that sounds like you then we’d love to hear from you!

The Children’s Society runs over 100 local services that help thousands of young people who desperately need our support, and we campaign to get laws and policies changed to make children’s lives happier and safer.

Every day we’re changing the lives of children in this country for the better – and with your help, tomorrow we can be there for even more.
